  • Selected to work with Instructional Specialists to revise Global History curriculum so it aligns with new SS Framework, differentiate materials and improve formative assessments. 
  • Support 90 NYC teachers in over 32 schools by facilitating professional development sessions, hosting classroom visits, sharing best practices with school-wide department teams, and presenting at local and state conferences.

Martin Van Buren High School

  • Founder of the Law & Humanities Institute (Q38M), implementing a three-year, six-credit law electives track to use in our new inhouse Courtroom. 
  • Developed and implemented two year Global History course to improve Regents pass rates and credit accumulation. Course creation resulted in +41% in June Global Regents pass rates from 2016-2019, with +53% in ISS and +9% in ENL pass rates over that time​.
  • Fostered interdisciplinary planning with ELA department to create and implement a writing system using strategies such as MEAL, writing rubrics, sentence and revision strategies via Hochman/WIT, leading to a half point increase in Part IIIB constructive responses for Global History from 2016-2018 and full point increase for New Framework.
  • Leader of “TheNewMVB” rebranding movement creating community cultural events and honor rolls parties, school and SLC logo creation, a new website and promotional materials, a new Student Office store, school pride painting events, and student swag
  • Coordinate student recruitment efforts, currently showing 30% gains to our Program Candidate List (PCL) by creating multiple publications and promotional material, training students and staff in public speaking points, attending city recruitment fairs and Junior High School events annually.
  • Created a Guest Speaker Lecture series with members of the Queens District Attorney's Office and the NYC Lawers Association for Law elective classes.
  • Created partnerships with mentor firm Winston & Strawn LLC, Justice Resource Center, , Syracuse University Project Advance, Gildher Lehrman and the Hamilton Education Program, the National Association of Women Judges' Color of Justice Program, and the Brooklyn Federal Courthouse Library.
